Ordered an alcohol stove for my hunting trip.

Came with a folding steel windscreen/pot stand.

It was just an inexpensive model from Amazon, so I wasn't expecting anything spectacular. But I ended up being fairly impressed after testing it out.

Boiled a can of soup in about seven minutes.

Worked well enough that I grabbed the small cast iron, pulled an onion from the garden, gathered the eggs, and cooked a bit of dinner.

Alcohol is a fuel that any homestead can make.

Charcoal is an easier fuel to make.

Alcohol is a little more portable & useful for other purposes like making tinctures.

I was thinking bio diesel might be a better option for vehicles but I've not done a huge amount of research yet.
