I really like how the #nostrdocumentary did not focus on bitcoin or lightning. We’ve already saturated the space of people who are enthusiastic about lightning. We need to bring people on board who don’t know or care about that stuff.

I’m brand new to Nostr. I’ve been in systems admin for 13 years and Nostr is interesting to me because of that. Perhaps lightning is interesting to me as a supporting technology but zaps and Bitcoin seem to be just a stepping stone for Nostr and not the destination.

Yup! I share this sentiment. I sent it to non-bitcoiner friends and they “finally” grokked Nostr.

Yes! Although bitcoin is of course superior and works so well on nostr, nostr is NOT bitcoin.
Owning nostr dot com I felt it was my destiny to follow the great Roger Ver in bitcoin, and make nostr-cash. Its not entirely silly I was trying to imagine a world of value transfer in nostr beyond just bitcoin.
Option to Zap with other coins would be great addition to #nostr

I indeed had amazing interviews all about how the interaction with ln and nostr will change social media, but with this #nostrdocumentary i really wanted to focus on the WHY. Not overcomplicate it with all of the features. Hopefully it sparks interest for people new to this topic to learn more.

Until the very last moment i was worried he is going to shill Bitcoin. Yet he didnt. Big kudos for that. Btw i am Bitcoin maxi but people need to come to Bitcoin naturally. Everyone at different time in their life.
