The technology behind this is not only important to Nostr, but to software industry in general. Native applications are so important.
Let alone rare. It is one of #Amethyst's killer features: It is NOT tied to V8 and friends, which gives it much more freedom compared to basically most other apps (aside from Damus, obviously.)
