The person who tells you what you want to hear when they know it’s a lie, cares less about you than their comfort in the conversation, or importantly, wants something from you.

The person who tells you the truth will often make you furious, but they very likely care more about you than the former person. And at least would rather you not believe something that’s total nonsense.

Careful who you surround yourself with.
