Sounds like she had ongoing health issues that she kept to herself, according to the obit. Passed away at their home.
This is the only source I have found so far stating a cause of death "long term health issues."

For me its hard to accept that God would deal Thomas's family this hardship despite him being a legitimately thoughtful leader.
Sounds like health issues that have been going on a long time. This family has been in my prayers often. So sad.

I don't want to have any heroes in Washington, but I genuinely like and admire Thomas Massie. Was so sorry to hear that his wife had died.
