Is money money if it is HODl'd and never spent?
If Saylor never sells / spends any of Strategy's stack or any of his personal holdings, does it effectively not exist and should be discounted as the money supply?

He doesn't even hold it. I would consider it the most sellable good. If everything else uses it as money then yes its still money. Just as buried gold coins still have value… hum but they aren't. Money anymore
Well he mentioned he wants to die with his so I consider it already gone. Maybe he will multi sig it making it harder to hack than the Satoshi wallet
Saylors successor may wanna spend. Until it's burned or lost it's money imHo
He says he will not pass on the keys for his personal stash (he has no children).
As for the company, it'll be interesting what the business model will be when Bitcoin becomes stable and a full blown currency.
Didn't know that about personal. Maybe it's semantic trick and he either means he'll spend it directly, or just move to a different wallet and never tell anyone the old keys. Genius!
Yeah, was thinking about that. Hmm
yeah, never spending amount of money is to the economy as if it does not exist. Same as putting a stash in the ground and loosing the map. It is as if he has got infinitely high demand for savings.
Which is silly. He is making this proclamation to say, that his demand for saving is really high, so it is not literal. Or he wants to signal to others that it is so. Or he want you to emulate him.
I definitely don't want to emulate him 😂
