I miss the Shift debit card. One of the few good things Coinbase ever did. But it was only around for a few months before it got shit canned. I spent about $12k worth of Bitcoin in that few months.

A good non-KYC alternative (for now, at least) is Spendit, but a mutual here said it's somewhat finicky in practice; I'd say give it a spin, but at your own risk.

Spendit has its quirks, but it is usable. Just hampered by limitations such being unable to top up a card, or merge old cards to recycle funds. These are legally necessary, unfortunately, because adding them would require them to comply with KYC rules.

The other biggest criticism is their fee... 8% is higher than most in the space. Their excuse is that they're new and have a small customer base, and that it'll go down if/when they grow.

I would have used this before Spritz if I could have, but I probably wouldn't have been able to pay bills with THOSE prepaid cards.

KYC is a fucking bitch, and the Spritz card STILL doesn't have 3DS authorization. Definitely worth it.
