Core v30 enabled this.

«No philosophical pivot» my ass.

Disgusting. 🤮

I am pivoting too.

Will run Bip-110.

Fuck the grifters. Bitcoin is money.

No, it was possible all the time

I am actually a believer that NFTs should be a thing but I don't believe the problem has been solved yet, collectable cards on a piece of cardboard has a lot of problems, if nostr or something similar could handle digital collectables it would be great, I agree to keep it the fuck away from Bitcoin and even Blockchain if possible

Nostr CAN handle digital collectibles because of the cryptographic PUB/PRIV key nature but it's not about making collectibles to the spammers, it's about leaving a mark on a system that everyone can use.

Nostr is just as immutable as Bitcoin but because you'd have to actually naturally generate value in a social marketplace, they don't use it.

I think the problem with nostr and digital collectables is they have to be stored on a relay somewhere, nothing on nostr can be guaranteed to be here later, we just think it's likely that some relay will have the information

That's literally the same case with Bitcoin... Do you think bitcoin is at risk of total data loss?

No but nostr isn't on the same level yet but you are right

Hello Frens.

Satsuma was reverse listed onto the London Stock Exchange.

Then UTXO management placed it's CEO.

Then they marketed themselves as a Bitcoin Treasury Company.

Then Plebs used their private pensions to try and ride the pamp, but were the exit liquidity.

Then they sold half the Bitcoin they bought to stay solvent.

Then @hodlonaut Posts below.

The shitcoining and the fiat fuckery will continue to unravel.

a) Bitcoin only, self-custody, stay humble, educate others.

b) Fiat Around and Find Out!

Welcome aboard 👊

The worst part of all this is the precedent set. We now are in a world where properly motivated devs can and will use their reputation/influence to get changes pushed to Bitcoin Core *the reference client* to benefit their own interests to the detriment to node operators. Bitcoin only works when incentives are aligned, and sadly that is no longer the case for Core and plebs.

I set my Core v30 datacarriersize=83 and its back to how it was in Core v29 That said I agree with your sentiment of a philosophical pivot. Don't like it at all. Also the tone death push for this change that clearly didn't have sufficient broader support to be pushed though is worrying. It wouldn't surprise me if a lot of old coins sold since this was pushed through was because of this.

It is not back tothe way it was before version 29. You can now have multiple outputs, meaning even though the maximum bite size is 83, you can have multiple OP_RETURN outputs. They also uncapped the number of OP_RETURN outputs per transaction.

Running Bitcoin Knots and BIP110 too because Bitcoin is Freedom Money 🤙

Citrea are shitcoiners who try to turn Bitcoin into Ethereum like garbage.

BIP110: The fight against passively paying to host alien garbage inside our private vaults! 🛡️

You came Back from retirement to defend btc, thank you 🫡

I was technically incorrect in saying Core v30 directly "enabled" Citrea's launch. As far as I now understand it would have proceeded anyway.

I apologize for this.

Still… the op_return uncap does expand the practical toolbox for projects like Citrea to embed non-monetary data (proofs, anchors, commitments) more cleanly and reliably on Bitcoin, meaning it incentivizes such activity.

My core criticism stands. v30 represents a stark philosophical pivot from Bitcoin's ethos as uncompromised sound money, to standardizing and facilitating grift-friendly data embedding under the guise of "harm reduction."

This sends a disastrous signal: Bitcoin is now open for "innovation" that prioritizes non-monetary payloads, expands spam attack surfaces, invites chain bloat and centralization risks, erodes first principles, and unites grifters while fracturing the social layer.
