Just FYI, the rights enshrined in the US Constitution are not a receitation of rights being given to the people by the government. Rather, they are a recitation that memorializes the rights that we _already_ have that shall not be infringed. This is an important distinction.

And the constitution has not prevented the government from infringing those rights of citizens

That's not the point. The point is that the document isn't what gives us rights, and we should just remember that from time to time.

That’s what I’m saying. It can’t give rights or it would have prevented those rights from being infringed. It’s just a piece of paper.

Agreed and if you study US history, it's good to reflect on the chads that established this republic and that they understood the perpetual nature of clown world and set to try to keep it at bay, which inevitably broke down and which we can again push out to the border lands if we try

The constitution also lists exactly what the people allow the government to do which it constantly over steps with impunity.

I don't disagree, like I said to manhood, the point is that our rights don't come from the government or a piece of paper, and we should simply remember that from time to time and act accordingly.

Really highlights the misunderstanding of people who say things like “we should change the constitution”

Weak people who wish to be tyrants resort to icons for the source of their power whereas the truly strong find their power within themselves and their own families and communities.

it doesn't work like code and smart contracts 🎯
