Chose your cat wisely. Mine only went after mice that were leopard print or pink lamé.

I would suggest a lot smaller out of peanut butter and push it into the holes so the mouse has to really step in the pressure plate to get at it.

I have been more successful with limited amounts. There enose is sensitive. If there is fresh peanut butter they will find it
