The Jaime Lannister storyline is the number one example of just how bad they fumbled GOT in the finale seasons.

Yep.
How it feels to be sent to fight the endless forever wars
🔥👌🏾
And Theon's
I can’t even remember the last season that well lol
This series was excellent during all his first seasons, and it was a total disappointment to see how Cersei and Jamie ended in the last season. I never waited for something so gloomy and so low quality.
I couldn’t bring myself to watch last season.
he clearly should have died by drowning there. would have been perfect. their insistence on deus ex machina for popular characters was completely antithetical to the entire universe of GoT.
I didn't even like GoT that much until the opening of book 3 when you started following Jamie. I had to reread the first two books because of that.
Seasons 1-6 are my favorite TV show ever
There are some bright spots in 7 and 8 as well (s8 e3 was epic) but overall yeah the producers just ruined the clever and delicate plot development by rushing the last 2 seasons
Needed one or two more full seasons to do it justice
Agree 💯
The only "fumbled" part of his story was the last fight with Euron. Completely unnecessary. Everything else was 10/10.

Tough gig with so many great characters and unfinished book ending. Steep drop off in szn 8 though lol
