What’s interesting is if you’re using private zaps like a DM, it’s truly private and has no public metadata. You could switch to a OnlyZaps™️ DM mode where all the messages are private zaps. This could be a good way to fight DM spam and improve privacy 🤔

How are zaps being validated? Is there a whitelist of entities signing the Zap event?

I understand it is done by relays if at all.

I’m not sure it would be a good anti-spam, unless the zap was double-checked by the LM wallet.

I’m very interested in better privacy for DMs. Will take a look at the NIP to understand better how it works

They are validated using the nostrPubkey on the lnurlp endpoint.

That should work.

If you see they’ll spamming you, you can switch lnurl for your invoices.

Would be interesting to do the same to replies. I think you proposed something like that recently.

Assuming person is using 3rd party.

If it’s their own node then there’s no point.
