Ever consider using pi hole as a DNS server? As long as your router allows for custom DNS, it should work fine. Even if it doesn’t, you could use pi hole for dhcp and disable dhcp on the router for the same result

Never heard of pi hole. Where do I get info

Pi-hole is just a proxy, you'll need a DNS server address to use it

Correct. It does operate as a DHCP server though if your router is an ISP rent and has DNS locked down

I have a node with pi-hole installed, but haven't taken the time to learn how to configure it.

Thanks for the inspiration. I will look into it when I have some time 🤙

Wait what? To use Pihole you have to point your router to get it to work?

Either you set the DNS server on your router to the IP address of your pi hole, or you turn off DHCP on your router and turn on DHCP on your pi hole, and it will add itself as the DNS server for all of the devices in its ip range

Thank you
