Without accounting for electricity how long would a #bitaxe pointed at a pool take to pay itself off?

#asknostr I'm on solar and I could run a bunch of those things 24/7 without hurting my batteries.

Or would it be a better idea to get something else that can solo mine other coins and swap them for btc?

Or just spend the money on buying #btc instead of #mining?

Or is there better low watt hardware for mining btc?

Which pools do you recommend or do you recommend the lottery instead?

Many reasons, such as

* I have no reason to accept zaps, they don't offer me anything

* Promoting a shitcoin is a bad idea

* Handling refund requests would be a chore because I'm targeted and this is a dangerous era

Why would you be expected to refund anyone?

How does receiving Bitcoin not offer you anything? You can always just send it on to other people if you don't want it.

Bitaxes powered by solar is the only use case for bitaxes in my opinion. Thats because they have the lowest power requirements. Otherwise I would suggest an s9 which gives out heat as a byproduct but will require more energy to run. That being said if you are looking for a return you are better just buying. Bitaxes and s9s only really serve the hobbyist. Pointing that minuscule amount of hash to a pool is only going to yield you ≈ 40 sats a day so you mine as well yolo to ckpool

The fact that there is no answer in this thread gives you the answer: It kind of takes forever. Use this device as a solo-mining lottery ticket, everything else doesn't make much sense, I'd say. But playing lottery for a good cause (supporting the network) is great imho.
