The EU age verification scam could open a popularity floodgate for nostr

The interesting thing is, there are prudent trustworthy people on both sides.. so I'm not sure if it's worth the time.
The auth_relais tag might bring some form of centralization (if all of those relays are shut down or censored, the nauth key gets worthless, if I understand it. Maybe there needs to be some form of auth relay determination automatism (but it might be that this is over my head...)
Holy shit it's working! Paid a 100k sats Lightning invoice from two different Cashu mints at the same time.
Enter atomic multinut payments.

All Cashu wallets let you use multiple mints. To reduce rug risk, we encourage users to leave only small amounts on each mint. This introduces a big UX challenge which forces users to distribute funds on different mints in a smart way. It's particularly problematic when you're trying to pay a bigger Lightning invoice from your small balances. Who has time for that?
The Lightning protocol allows nodes to split a single payment HTLC into multiple parts to increase the chance of reaching the destination, called Multi-Path Payments (MPP). Typically, that's done from one sender to one receiver. What if... you can just break the rules?
A multinut payment originates from multiple Lightning nodes to pay a single invoice, atomically. Even if none of your mint balances can cover an invoice, as long as your total balance is large enough, you can pay the invoice.
I don't think anyone was crazy enough to do this before. Pretty sure what you see here is the first invoice being paid using a CLN and an LND node at the same time. Amazing work by the team, special thanks to nostr:npub1u07xw079lxwv24xslarh2eu4v37jtjmwvev0jyk3zjhxg2wnt56seyez97.

What happens if not every partial payment succeeds?
aka the headache supplement
Just blame it on your new Toyota 😂
One of the killer use cases 💪
Please include Firefox, I hate chrome 🙏😭
Thanks. We’ll also take a look at the Nostr Amethyst client; it seems to have already integrated it.
Exactly 💪🔥
If you value privacy, please don't be doubtful about it. If you leave a ip-trail behind, it is a big reason for many potential users to ignore the app altogether, no matter how good it is, unfortunately. adding tor is pretty much streamlined already.
Do you plan to include TOR connectivity?
Without accounting for electricity how long would a #bitaxe pointed at a pool take to pay itself off?
#asknostr I'm on solar and I could run a bunch of those things 24/7 without hurting my batteries.
Or would it be a better idea to get something else that can solo mine other coins and swap them for btc?
Or just spend the money on buying #btc instead of #mining?
Or is there better low watt hardware for mining btc?
Which pools do you recommend or do you recommend the lottery instead?

The fact that there is no answer in this thread gives you the answer: It kind of takes forever. Use this device as a solo-mining lottery ticket, everything else doesn't make much sense, I'd say. But playing lottery for a good cause (supporting the network) is great imho.
EU OS: A European Proposal for a Public Sector Linux Desktop

A OS taylored to Government and specifically Non-government Organisations.... it's getting really hard to believe NGO's are anything but pure covert government 🤡
The digital Euro (a CBDC) is exactly what the people do not like or need in their lives.
I mean, it's is the very nature of ecash. If you don't want to carry around tokens on your device, you have to stick with lightning as a L2. I'm not sure what your point is..
So either use ecash like ecash is supposed to be used and just get yourself some tokens from a mint (then you can use it when u need it, also offline)
..or use a network based payment system 🤡
Huh...I thought the wallet balance (cashu tokens) is literally a file on the device anyway? So shouldn't a cashu-transaction just work between 2 offline parties?
Some people will get fat by relentlessly optimizing their benefit from this deal 😅
