YouTube on desktop is now forcing me to log in to view videos (maybe because I'm using a vpn)

Does anyone have an easy solution that doesn't involve setting up a Gmail account?

Been having the same issue. Ao far switching vpn servers has resolved it. But prob not for long.

There is an app for anon viewing offered on umbrel nodes.

The solution to everything is running a node

Try Freetube. You don’t need an account, it’s possible to import your channels, no ads, disable annoying shorts etc. Although some clips/channels will not run…

Nice man that works. I installed a standalone app on Ubuntu and ran it. Was able to watch the video I wanted with no ads.

Cool! 💪

BTW thanks for the zap! 🙏

Additionally, I’ve been told it’s less annoying on brave browser, but idk if it’s requiring login credentials…

Yes it's the VPN. Switch to a different country or IP address.

Great for Android, but I'm on a desktop

Freetube, in the case 🫡

Got it going. Works great
