Bingo!

I told them before, follow the economic principle of supply and demand

What are their demands?

Is nostr ready to supply their demands?

You see how people on here stare down and even alienate non-bitcoiners and if you tell tell them it's hurting the network, they'll fire back at you with non-sensical wtf's without a single suggestion to remedy the situation

You want diversity?

You want people coming in, and staying? Show them a welcoming attitude, but when these Mastodonians see bitcoin on all the 4 corners of nostr, you can't keep them

Remember the fed raid on Mastodon last May? They got pissed, looked for other platforms, stumbled on nostr and got alienated by bitcoin worship. They got their own thing, not everybody wants to get orange-pilled

Bitcoin worship, as you put it, is a noticeable problem don't get me wrong. But I would say that it isn't the biggest problem. That would go to the idea that it's how nostr works conceptually and how difficult for the average non-tech person to wrap their head around. Granted the bitcoin worship does poison the will quite a bit, but I think it would still be an issue without the poisoned well.

If they've gone through all the trouble of onboarding on nostr, the ambience can make them stay
