It's a symbolic issue. I can't wrap my head around it entirely, but it has to do with family planning, moral values, personal responsibility, individual sovereignty. Many topics are woven into this choice around birth and death, masculinity and femininity, so it's very emotional.

In addition to that there has been a tremendous amount of public discussion and propaganda involved. Potentially all connected to some sort of anti-human agenda.

I prefer to leave that topic and all others for that matter to the individual states and I cherish human life, but I also think an outright ban on abortion will backfire in the long-run.
