How do people do fasting? Like seriously, how do you not go absolutely mad from starvation and pass out? I can’t go on missing one meal. Physically and mentally incapable.

I started buy switching to fat for fuel.
I stopped eating all carbs and sugars and switched to fatty beef, pork and chicken.
Do this for about a week and your body switchs from burning glucose to fat.
I'm 100% convinced that this is what made my first fast so easy.
I used salt, pink and regular, along with soya sauce for electrolytes (and to taste something) along with drinking water every time I felt the hint on hunger. When hunger actually was felt it didn't last more than one half a hour.
I told myself that if it did last an hour I would break my fast.
I did 4 days on my first fast without any issues and suprised the shit out of myself.
I know everybody's bodies are different and react differently. But this worked for me and it may work for you.
Good luck!

I found it to be easier than it seems in the first glance.
Your inability to skip meals probably comes from high carbs diet which and you body struggles to keep the same level of glycemia. So you eat to make it higher - then insulin kicks in and is trying to make it lower. Hugh carb diet means the bode probably ends up overshooting the target and that’s the point when you litterally need to eat something (with carbs ahain) in order not to pass out.
So, first easy step might be to lower you carb income a bit.
Then… make you head sure, that there will be no snack, no other food not for two hours… but for a day. It makes a huge difference. Just stop looking forward for a meal.
Easiest way to fast is to eat low-carb dinner and then go to sleep normally as you are used to. Other day you just skip 3-4 meals and can have a low carb dinner as well for 24h fast. Or you can skip 2 dinners and make it 36h in one go (your first meal would be a breakfast the other day).
Works like charm.

I don’t have a high carb diet. More animal fat and meat, some vegetables now that I’m visiting my family. I keep my carb into fairly low on purpose. It’s a lot for me mentally though. I eat on time even if I’m not hungry, but if it’s meal time I have to eat. And I basically eliminated all snacks, if I eat snacks it’s beef jerky. In general I get irritated a lot more than I get hungry when I miss a meal, like really
Would it be a good start if I try it after breakfast then maybe 8-12 hours until the next meal?
100% what nostr:npub1wxxm0rme8wglmtq8f060xshtdlvtgryz46huldhm0nx59xru37yshmlej2 and nostr:npub1jwmlmggmtgrulpju4z7ghp2w4saywtxcwmmrkvy9fg99zwccw8nszulax5, have said. If you're still on carbs then you'll always be ravenous. Keto is the way to go and you just don't feel as hungry ever.
Took about 3 months to get used to it, now I’m all about fasting.
I eat from noon-8:00p
Only drink water/tea/coffee
Has been a full year, I’m down ~30lbs and I eat what I want all the time, little to no restrictions…
I really eat quite often, always hungry, always eating during my 8hr window 💪🏽
