Since zaps are still easy to fake, there will be chaos at some point and then probably nostr clients will create lists of pubkeys of zap providers that they want to trust.

Yeah, I mean bot's been creating thousands of zap receipts. Nobody has given me any authority to do so. No proofs needed. Even if, those could be "faked" as well.
Same as follower count and likes, everything in nostr is easy to fake.

In my experience the first notification that someone has zapped me is confirmation in my wallet. So obviously that's not faked. Are you referring to a zap tally count that inaccurately portrays the popularity of a note?
People can just zap each other back and forth indefinitely right?
