To live where I work, and have a comfortable life I would need to earn 5x my current hourly income, working full time.

About $240,000 /year at $115 /hour.

Maybe I did the math wrong, or approximated my costs wrong.

But houses are about $500,000 , & rents are about $3,000 to $3,500

Monthly groceries is about $400 to $600.

Car insurance is about $200 / month.

Gas is about $100 / month.

Phone is about $80 / month.

Am I crazy, or stupid?

This doesn’t include luxuries, just the basic necessities.

To be fair I might have miscalculated but I’m not sure.

I’ll re-run the numbers later on tonight, and figure out the more accurate costs.
