Question for the based ladies of Nostr:

What are the best resources (books/podcasts/movies/social accts.) to send to a young woman who had a very difficult upbringing (fatherlessness, sexual abuse, self-harm, feminism, etc.), to help her heal from her past trauma, and find her divine feminine essence?

horses. I had a fried who tried everything and I'm the end hanging out with some horses was the only thing that helped.

I'm not joking.

This makes sense intuitively. Horses are beautiful creatures. Also, I don’t imagine the above described terrors could be healed through books/media.

Healing would come in the real natural world, channeled by genuine human compassion/mentorship. I understand that isn’t an option for all, but I hope and pray for all those affected by Trauma of all types.

Forgot where I saw this, so no credit to the source.

yes, horses can be very helpful. In Chinese culture and mythology they have correspondence to the fire phase and Heart so they can communicate with humans and heal the heart. Also, she could consider Chinese medicine/acupuncture.

Love The Crappy Childhood Fairy ... regrettably on youtube. She takes an empowering view to healing (rather than the rehash of the trauma story).

The book Whole Again by Jackson MacKenzie. It changes lives. Plus a really good therapist. I also liked "You Can Change Your Life" by Louise Hay.

Not everyone’s cup of tea but Gabby Bernstein talks a lot about traumas and how she found hers.

Depends a little on the genre - like if you’re wanting Christian oriented there’s a book called The Holy Woman. If you want something more mythical / mystical then Women Who Run with the Wolves is fascinating 🤙
