I had hell with Strike too, finally quite trying because no direct deposit. And they closed my account.
Cashapp is killin it though!

Cash app not available in Portugal 🤦🏼♂️
Never used cash app but been on strike for a while now. Never had issues. 🤷♂️
I've heard other say the same but I had nothing but troubles. And their Customer service is great at replying without ever answering questions.
Idk, Cashapp just works for me, and it even let's me use a fiat debit card and load paper money without having to go to a bank or ATM. Buy/Sell/Send Bitcoin both on-chain and lightning. The only thing it lacks is lightning addresses.
They're great. I wish CashApp used Lightning the same way Strike does, though
Cashapp can generate and pay lightning invoices, they just need to add lnurls
I specifically mean how Strike routes fiat payments via Lightning, but supporting invoices puts CashApp ahead of the pack. Does CashApp custody their own bitcoin?
I'm not sure how they route their fiat payments, but I wouldn't be surprised if they use lightning on the backend. Transfers between Cashapp users and over lightning are all free.
According to them they do custody the BTC, and they don't leverage it. Apparently they keep a significant amount in cold storage as well. And, unlike the PayPal/Venmo schmucks you can get it into self-custody immediately. Same with Strike or any other on/off ramp don't leave your stack in their hands.

Awesome, I might start using it more
