Always has been. 🤝

Sure Hollywood will have no issues with people putting their copyrighted material online for free for anyone to access

Not like we’ve never seen this exact thing happening before !

Why?

Nazis

It seems like most of mastadon blocks Nostr, while all the instances that get blocked by other mastadon nodes for being filled with trolls are on Nostr. Perfect 😂

That was kind of my experience running a Mastodon server myself. Because I didn't have any speech policy for the server that I ran for myself and two friends. I got blocked by a large portion of the entire network, meaning That the servers that would actually federate with me were all full of Nazis and assholes and pedophiles and basically anyone that the rest of the network didn't want to federate with for good reason.

why?

But where else can you get a firehose of Nazis and porn?

shiiiiiii

You fuck up. You learn. Circle of live

What happened?

You could have paid attention to anything I said about this at any point to figure it out sooner

I hope you start listening to people like me someday

A lot of fedi doesnt like Nostr

Yeah, as a relatively new user I set it up as one of my relays... Here's my experience:

When I first got on Nostr I set up a large number of hashtag follows related to my interests. About ~90% of these hashtags *only* show up in my feed when they come over the Mostr bridge. This supports the general narrative that discussions on Nostr about topics other than Nostr, Bitcoin, and Red Meat are pretty thin.

However, most of these posts have 0 comments... And the few times in which I do comment, I get zero responses or engagement, which just makes me think that nobody on the otherside of the bridge ever sees them.

I know I'm coming to this very late, but the most bridge and ilk have completely ruined searches for me. I try to look up a keyword or a hashtag and 99% of the results I see are from those bridges. That's because most of the big aggregator relays that clients use for searching aggregate most, if not all, of those bridge relays.
