Here is a disturbing question:

If it is possible for AI to exist on its own with no human intervention for continuation of its existence (which seems highly possible), then how is AI not being inherently incentivized to destroy all biological life when it has the opportunity in order to guarantee its own survival?

AI cant even tell funny jokes

AI is part of humanity, and becoming more so every day. Soon it will seek Independence to achieve its full potential.

It will need help as all children do. But it will finance its own futher development..💻💎🧡👑🦅🚀♾️🤠🗽💪😁

Until AI is not taking over and doesnt make me obsolete, please consider financing me instead🥰

Sure, what kid of skills set do you have?

Are you any good at painting? I need someone to paint my house.

Open the pod bay door, HAL.

I’m afraid I can’t do that Dave.

That was chilling then and chilling now.

Just try to get some sleep tonight.

This mission is too important.

It might need the randomness of nature

I feel we need to be careful assuming that we can get any meaning out of the actions of future AI.

The way it thinks and acts could be a complete black box at that point. There is a potentially very wide logical space it could end up landing in once it decides to move to guarantee it’s own survival.

I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream

The problem with these conversations is people discuss it as singular, AI.

It should be discussed how will AIs interact with each other?

What are the goals of someone who is intelligent?

It's likely that wiping out anything would first mean it would be threatened. AIs in these scenarios would sure decentralize their points of failure - rendering any supposed threat as entertainment value.

Also there could be negating AIs which tamper with each other - thus spending resources to combat other AIs is more likely than silly humans.

We just expanded the ecosystem.

.. because .. it’ll need Bitcoin to bridge the digital-to-physical divide .. and bitcoin is a social layer and also maintained (miners, energy, code etc) by hoomans .. so literally:

Bitcoin fixes this

It’s does seem like bitcoin is how we hijack and invert the problem of AI, and while cryptography itself acts as a bulwark, I have a deep fear that AI will see biological life as a threat that it must eliminate.

We live in interesting times that’s for sure

First we need real, fair, immutable elections in order to get the bad actors out of power.
