Finished up re-reading this one. I don't know why I torture myself with books that inspire land management ideas when I have no land to manage. #grownostr #permaculture #goodbooks #permies #trees

Great book, been using a lot of the propagation techniques successfully. The way Akiva describes the ability to look into the woods and identify all the trees at a glance definitely develops over time. When I first read the book I couldn't identify many trees at all, but now I can tell which are which as I'm driving by on the highway.

My grandfather did arborist work for a while and is an avid hunter. He taught me about a lot of trees where I grew up, but I want to learn a lot more and be able to identify in all seasons. It's something to aspire to.

This is one of my favorites!! I love the way he talks about trees. A lot of our tree choices came from reading this book

He LOVES trees. And makes a compelling case to join him in that love.

Same 🤣 but I’m buying some in Mexico to start my permaculture homestead soon! Keep the dream alive!
