this last three days i have resumed taking boron - 5g/L medical grade sodium borate (borax) - they come in 30g sachets and make this concentration in a 6L springwater balloon bottle

when one is low in boron, the kidneys eliminate magnesium and calcium, and the liver eliminates vitamin D... you can imagine how that goes - yes, basically osteoporosis, but also ADD and depression, and compound that with artificial sweetener induced type 2 diabetes...

i have been suffering with cramps pretty regularly for some time, and as my mother told me, she also has this problem, and finds if she manages to drink 2L of water a day it is ok

but the borax does the trick, i'm taking 25-30ml of this 5g/L solution, and it just dawned on me a little while ago today that i'm not getting the cramps in my toes anymore

for years i tried all kinds of ways to get magnesium to decrease my anxiety and improve my concentration, to no avail... should have been a red flag when intravenous had no substantial effect

i don't know what causes boron deficiency exactly, it's hardly even registered anywhere as a problem, you can find a small amount of information about it... boron is a crucial nutrient in horticulture, all plants need some to grow, and too much can make them grow abnormally large (probably part of how the giant pumpkin growers do it)...

anyhow, i'm definitely keeping up the regime, 25ml of 5g/L seems to be the right amount, i was taking more before but in that time it kinda made me put on weight... the dose rate 50ml/5g/L was recommended to me by my aunty, who told me it cured her of menopause symptoms, but not just this, also other things, concentration, cramps, muscle weakness

i like to make jokes about it because boron is the 5th element

and the 5th element, cheesy and all, is kinda interesting from the perspective of being an allegory of a historical cycle with the golem looking guys versus the evil black hole people, and two of the best b grade actors of all time... haha, just makes me laugh is all

I usually eat a little Himalayan salt for cramps.

No expert, boron might be good, borax seems to be bad: https://eu.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2023/07/28/borax-is-toxic-not-a-substitute-for-boron-fact-check/70487624007/

sodium borate, USP, available at your local pharmacy just ask...

5g/L or close to 1oz/gal is safe up to 2floz/day but as i experienced, i put on a bit of weight, which actually was remarkable because i've not had anything cause me to put on weight except shit-tons of sugar, no amount of potatoes or rice or any such carbs can make me fat like adding a bit too much boron

it's present in all vegetables and fuck the FDA, they say that water should have less iron than Evian water from the french alps does

which lets them put potassium permanganate in your water

guess what disease you get from excess manganese ingestion?

it's a lot like AD/HD and a lot like parkinsons in extreme, it's called manganism, look it up

Boron is legit. Soil depleted so need to supplement with it unless you live in and around Isreal. Helps with iron clearing from the body. Great post 🙏

it's notable also that there is not a lot in meat, but a lot in most vegetables, i think fish is the highest boron content of meat

also, was such a long time since i posted that... thanks for reminding me

i had a usual scheme for it where i mix 30g borax (from the pharmacy) into 6L of water, which yields 5mg/ml and i was taking 50

because i live a lot further than where i used to from where i can buy plastic spring water bottles in 6L size, i have more spare 1.5L so i made the mix 1.2L with 30g borax, which means a dose is 1/5th or 10ml... i have a giant horse syringe thing, dosing syringe, which is very easy to measure out 10ml accurately, going to start taking it again

when i first started taking it, it was very noticable that it dramatically increased my appetite, in fact i started to put on quite a bit of weight, but it did also reduce the cramping stuff at the same time

i have found that i basically must cut carbs right back now, and probably the majority of the carbs i eat now are bananas and peas and wine

need to cut back on the wine tho - i was usually in the habit of red but recently had a bit of white and the extra sugar in it noticably increased the cramping problem again which pissed me off so i'm not going to let it keep going that way, and i'm taking the boron again daily, 250mg

this plus plenty of sea salt and potassium chloride it should clear up fast if i back off on the starches and sugars

the cramps are awful, make me feel totally like a cripple, can't do any exercise...

i want to resume doing all that stuff and get to a decent level - 200 situps, 100 pushups, 200 squats, 20 pull-ups, that would be my target, and i'll need boron as a part of my stack to get there

this is the thing about this stuff... when it starts to happen, you just gradually lose condition and before you know it, normal activities start to become a real strain, when you have good strength your normal activities are light and easy

our bodies are antifragile, especially muscles, they need to be stressed in order to be healthy
