I am using the grid at this point. Would love to have it run on solar but that is a huge expense to start. Each miner takes about 3000W.
I got the miners and the inline fans (Cloudline S8) online (Amazon). Probably overpayed for the miners but was not willing to send bitcoin to some vendor in another country who could or not send me my miners.
The shrouds are from Fruition Designs and Nakamoto mining (I am in Canada).
The whole thing makes it all more expensive but they are necessary if you will have it next to or in your living space because of how loud it gets otherwise.
I wired a 30 amp plug that is enough for both miners.

I am currently setting up a micro hydro system with 90 metres of head. Two turbines produce energy at a steady 2500w/hr. We also have solar but winter efficiency is quite low where I am in Tasmania. Have you replaced the fans in your rigs or are the in line fans additional?
I replaced them. The stock fans are too loud and this is just outside my kitchen.
