I tend to use “Bitcoin” as an uncountable term. Same as money. So I say two #bitcoin.

The #tradfi system is fighting back. Had a e-transfer to buy #bitcoin through my company denied yesterday. Called the bank, they put it through.

Same thing today, denied. Called the bank, they approve it. Still the transfer is denied by the service they use for it (Interac in Canada).

Reading the book #brokenmoney by nostr:npub1a2cww4kn9wqte4ry70vyfwqyqvpswksna27rtxd8vty6c74era8sdcw83a , I wonder if such transfers count as money being taken away from their ledgers. Like a cash withdrawal, which we all know they don’t like to do.

My money is now in the limbo of the banking system. And I have to wait for it to appear back in my account…

I am hoping the SBR will not come for a little while so I have more time to buy…

Great question. I am an immigrant here. Arrived during the Harper administration and have fond memories of that time. It was not long ago, but it was a different Canada.

I would say the deterioration was gradual, but 2020 seems to have accelerated it. Out of control money printing, indiscriminate immigration, violence getting worse, falling standard of living.

The Canada I live in today is not the Canada 🇨🇦 I immigrated to, that is for sure.

Would love to learn about how this is different for the health of the network than using a pool.

I have been #plebmining using a pool (Brains). Going solo I may never get any sats. I love the no KYC aspect of mining.

I gave my three boys a Canaan Avalon Nano 3 each for Christmas. They are really excited with what they call their #satoshi makers.

They are already saving for their future in bitcoin and #stackingsats as early as 6 years old.

Always hated that quote! Used to often to justify bad habits that are believed to be done in moderation but in reality are done way too frequently.

My miner setup is now the only required heat source at my cottage. I already paid for electric heat up there, which made the transition a no brainer.

I have two Antminers S19 (1xS19J, 1xS19K pro). It is currently -7.8 Celsius there. But inside it is a comfortable 22 Celsius.

A Raspberry Pi running Home Assistant on Docker is responsible to control the power of the miners depending on the temperature inside.

Next steps are:

• Work on the ductwork to distribute the heat better.

• Attach a humidifier to said ductwork so it is not a desert inside.

• Create a vent to the outside that can be opened/closed so I can keep the miners on during the summer.

• Create a cabinet around the miners for sound control.
