My miner setup is now the only required heat source at my cottage. I already paid for electric heat up there, which made the transition a no brainer.

I have two Antminers S19 (1xS19J, 1xS19K pro). It is currently -7.8 Celsius there. But inside it is a comfortable 22 Celsius.

A Raspberry Pi running Home Assistant on Docker is responsible to control the power of the miners depending on the temperature inside.

Next steps are:

• Work on the ductwork to distribute the heat better.

• Attach a humidifier to said ductwork so it is not a desert inside.

• Create a vent to the outside that can be opened/closed so I can keep the miners on during the summer.

• Create a cabinet around the miners for sound control.

If you would like more info, message me. I am no expert in any of those things but it is totally doable with some internet support.

Awesome work, Marcelo. Thankyou for sharing and yes, I would love as many details as you are willing to share. We were going to try heating our off grid homestead in this manner but not sure where/how to start.

I am using the grid at this point. Would love to have it run on solar but that is a huge expense to start. Each miner takes about 3000W.

I got the miners and the inline fans (Cloudline S8) online (Amazon). Probably overpayed for the miners but was not willing to send bitcoin to some vendor in another country who could or not send me my miners.

The shrouds are from Fruition Designs and Nakamoto mining (I am in Canada).

The whole thing makes it all more expensive but they are necessary if you will have it next to or in your living space because of how loud it gets otherwise.

I wired a 30 amp plug that is enough for both miners.

Thankyou!

I am currently setting up a micro hydro system with 90 metres of head. Two turbines produce energy at a steady 2500w/hr. We also have solar but winter efficiency is quite low where I am in Tasmania. Have you replaced the fans in your rigs or are the in line fans additional?

I replaced them. The stock fans are too loud and this is just outside my kitchen.

What is your energy source?

I am using the grid / electricity. Which was my heating source before anyway. Now I get bitcoin for it…

Do hope to have solar one day to offset it, but cannot do it now.

Love the setup.
