Why not just an armed pirate?
Sometimes I want a husband just so I can travel to places deemed not safe for solo female travelers.

Isnβt a pirate typical looking to pillage and plunder not escort, guard, and protect?
Pirates are mercenaries. They will do whatever needs to be done for loot. They get a bad rap. Very noble intentions, overall. I don't feel bad at all for all the tyrants treasure they ransacked and wildy dumped back into local economies.
I love how pirates were one of the first to set up a truly free republic, too. Govts knew they couldnβt allow that shit though
