And about the process in general / my conception of the maze-making as art. The actually making of the maze part of the art is super organic / emergent and always brings out things different from or well beyond whatever I had consciously started with. For instance the idea of the color change effect came from what I originally regarded as a mistake.
I feel that way sometimes with my mixed media art ā¦ that the process (including what initially seems like a mistake) reveals things I hadnāt thought of that end up being wonderful.
Nancy Hillis calls it the Adjacent Possible: that you wouldnāt have gotten to that particular end if not for the āmistakesā that happened along the way ā¦ and to be open to that. š«
