I've been good for the most part. Some un-needed fiat mine stress. Long story, but it's annoying as fuck. Katie's good. The kids are good. It's a beautiful warm day in the middle of the winter so I went for a run. I feel great. You?
I used to send them zaps if theyโd been offline a while, but now that WoS left the US, I wonโt do that anymore.
Speaking of this, I still don't know what alternative to recommend to new Bitcoiners. Speed, maybe? If they're a Nostrich, then Primal seems like an easy recommendation because it comes with a wallet now.
Yeah, for newbies in the US I would definitely recommend speed or primal wallet, just stay away from ZBD no matter what.
Primal if youโre in a place where Strike serves. You can also just use Strike with any Nostr client, but not in NY, of course.
LN.tips still works most of the time, but itโs really just for small amounts. Iโve given out a few Alby invite codes to people in person recently.
Stacker.news is another easy way to get an address.
LN.tips is my current go-to for onboarding because itโs easy to pair with Zeus.
Is it easy, yes, but I don't like telling someone you have to use a messenger app and a bot to set it up and then you have to download a second app. Two apps just to make a bitcoin transaction? That's not a simple sell.

True, relays can be a burden in that regard. We need more clients to support gossip.
