unpopular opinion, birth control is scary to me. i don’t feel like there is a reason to mess with my hormones for anyone. never tried it, never will. nostr:note14g9z4xtvrhtxslewt65clm85nu7vkh5y7p8740t4y8r94fd0zfvqfehjdp

My gf has an implant and can confirm it fucks with her hormones. Makes periods worse too.

i have had a lot friends with the implant have the same experience, it’s incredibly taxing on the body.

Injection is worse too at least for my gf. The pill has the least side effects but way too easy to forget taking a dose at a specific time daily.

I'mma just get a vasectomy soon then she won't have to fuck with her hormones like that anymore.

copper iud?

It's an IUD yes. Not sure if it's copper. I'd have to ask when she wakes up.

Not a woman but this would freak me out as well. Even funnier, although not funny, thing is i knew girls who got on it before becoming sexually active just bc it “helps with acne” 😳

No shit?! Sex help with acne.. who knew.

Sexercise! Does the body good 😅

Explains this baby face. 😜😂

nahhh, the dr who did that was evil. diet, exercise, & water intake are the best way to balance hormones which helps with acne.

Works fine for me. I can understand not wanting it though.

The ome time I was pregnant it almost killed me.

i’m glad you’re okay 🥹, i also definitely think that it should be accessible to anyone who wants it. it’s always a personal choice, i won’t ever agree to taking away someone’s freedom of choice for their own body. that’s just my freedom loving american side!

Of course. Hugs!

Birth control was invented during ww2 through the efforts of a “scientist” in the gas chambers

Birth control wasn’t studied very well before release.

We’ve learned a lot about it over the past 50 years and it’s benefits aren’t what we were told they’d be or as numerous.

All sorts of birth control devices and medications have been declared illigal in Iran in the past couple of years. Because Shia needs more soldiers.

You can only buy expensive condoms from drugstore.

Also, all kinds of fetus/embryo deficiancy tests and monitorings have been condemned illigal too.

Any midwife or doctor who runs or even suggest such test would be fired and prosecuted.

A horrible future awaits us!

And the world has decided to calmly watch a nation's downfall.

Why does this mean a horrible future?

Every major country except for India has a declining population.

More people = a bright future

everyone deserves the freedom to their own body. it’s a personal choice. taking that choice away, is control over one’s freedoms. which is what the the American flag represents in your profile picture.

iran’s government having complete control over what anyone does is not a good thing

If their population collapses then there’s no future, so….

No pill = personal responsibility required

so you believe in complete government control? you would love iran.

i’m a freedom maxi. sorry.

Deviant.

Absolute freedom is a myth.

The gov’t has shoved birth control down western nations throats over the past 50 years and look where it’s gotten us.

Destabilized nations globally.

Not saying what Iran is doing is the answer, an iron fist rarely is the answer.

i don’t see the government physically force anyone to take a pill. as you said before, it’s all about personal responsibility.

and just as you said, countries like iran, has shoved down their strict control down everyone’s throat for decades now, and look where that has gotten them.

i don’t disagree with west propaganda, and again, i haven’t ever taken birth control or ever will, but i just really don’t see why people give a fuck if anyone else does.

just have babies, and focus on your own life, everything and everybody else is a distraction to your growth.

*i don’t disagree with the fact that the west has its own propaganda* (clarification)

No easy solutions.

agreed

More unwanted people in poor family ?

More gravely sick and disabled, defected children and in poor families?

Reproductive choice is a wonderful thing. Every woman should be able to choose what’s best for them. I’m okay with BC because the risks associated with pregnancy are even greater. Plus, I’ve never experienced adverse effects.

Also, your options if you have an unplanned pregnancy are dwindling in this political climate, so I’ll be using both barrier protection and an OCP until I’m ready to have a baby.

For me, it’s not about doing something for man. It’s about protecting my health (b/c pregnancy has significant risks) and agency as a woman.

Tracking your period and using ovulation sticks is a pretty effective alternative. The pill is basically chemical castration.

I don't think that's unpopular at all.
