Doesn’t the risk just move up the stack to DNS at that point?

I'm just being sarcastic. It's a terrible idea and most people shouldn't do it.

Risk/reward for an email server is not worth it.

Imagine that, nuance.

Makes all the difference really.

He’s right 👀

Bake your own bread.

Indeed. I'll agree to that one 😁🔥

How did you zap me 21 sats as I'm not a lnurl?

Looks like you receive via a ZeusPay lightning address. That uses LNURL.

Oh I removed it a few hours ago...well check it later

Either a relay still has it or they have it cached in their client.

I see

Grow your own wheat

Just bought some seeds on Amazon, the seller is called Monsanto, it's high quality, right?

I hear the yield is excellent

Yes I run one.

As I said, users must make the difference between private and public use.

Public use - all the communication with public identities and all your public "face" on internet. This could be tuta or proton.

Private - your fucking private life that is non of others business (family, RL friends, direct business partners etc)

Example: I have a private domain, self hosted, used only for my whole family and some friends. Each one have their own account on my domain, controlled by me only.

Another private domain used only for direct messaging with business partners. With some of them even having an email account on that server. Private communication.

public is public, private is private

Nobody: "Darth, do you have a guide?"

Me: ofc I have a guide...

anyways... soon email will be replaced by nostr.

So run your own nostr relay.

Yes pls, Gmail is a centralized joke and email servers are very cheap and risk free to run

OG dovecot/postfix runner. Good times.

These days, how to not get crushed on deliverability?

Just don't send emails to Gmail, Yahoo and Hotmail users 😄

😅

🤣🤣🤣

Your outgoing emails will end up in the recipient’s spam.

I do.

I do, but it’s a hassle… especially if you get blacklisted once..

You wouldn't...

For the love of Pete, this indeed.
