I have to go to a bridal shower this weekend, and I'm really not looking forward to it. Does that make me a terrible person? The couple are already living together, so I dont see the point of it. What could they possibly need for their home that they dont already have? In my opinion, bridal showers are for a couple just starting out, who have nothing for their home yet. Anyway, just venting here. If I'm way off base, someone tell me. #grownostr

Idk, I had a bridal lunch and we were already living together. It was more just about a pre-celebration with my female relatives. I didn't have a registry for it, and only a couple people brought gifts, which was perfectly fine. I think it matters how she frames it -- it could be very nice or it could be a gift grab. 🤷‍♀️

She does have a gift registry, and maybe I just dont enjoy those types of functions anymore.

In that case, if it's for someone you care about, maybe focus more on what it means to her to have you there, rather than how much you'll enjoy it yourself, to make it more bearable? Good luck!
