I find that _before_ the first meal of the day any and all cravings I have for everything are through the roof. my mind interprets "hunger" as "gotta get any of the things we like".
black coffee with a chunk of butter in it seems to be helpful
however atm i'm smoking this long weekend, i stopped for years now, few weeks of weed spread, and even that is fading out it feels,, no big rules set, step by step. I decided that gaining weight would not stop me, eat instead of smoke.. if chewing gum doesn't work.
Later, or beter right away be active, fitness, have patience, eat. be let it balance out. Watch the mind, watch the watcher more
You could skip the first meal of the day or eat it in your backyard or something. Eating in a different place might not trigger the craving.
