Is the syntax for properties in Logseq the same? If yes, then that's great!

Not really, Logseq's are much more basic and freeform (for the time being).
I'm actually checking Obsidian's documentation right now and it looks that they've made properties really well.
It's a shame it is closed source. I've used it for lots of stuff but I can't get over that fact.
Agreed, the fact that Obsidian is not open-source is the part that sucks. That said with plugins and the fact that it's super easy to modify things with CSS using DevTools inline (and see the source code), it's sort of bearable.
