SimpleX is great for everyone, but only its authors know Haskell. It would be better if they wrote it in C; at least that would make the development of third-party applications more pleasant and faster.

It is not great for everyone. It's crap. I just had a reminder last week when I was asked to use it. It fell flat on its face, giving a false message, and preventing communication that it claims to support.
