Interestingly. Rolls Royce's are commonly known as Rollers. They really shouldn't be, they should be Royce's.
The reason being, Mr Rolls was just a salesman, Mr Royce was an engineer, who designed the fucking things. Rolls just sold 'em. Royce was the 🧠's!

Ooooooh. I've got another snippet that I've just remembered! Charles Rolls, was the first person to die, in an aeroplane crash, in The UK. He was 32.
Well then maybe they call them Rollers in his honor—excuse me; let me clarify so you may understand me more clearly—honour because Rolls died so young and Royce got to take complete control of his company and profit for the majority of his life.
I think the deal was, Rolls was very wealthy, he was from London and a bit of a lad. Royce, was a brilliant engineer, from Manchester, about 30 miles from where I live. I think he actually started out making watches, then, some of the first cars. Rolls though hmmmmmm, this cunts good, gave him a load of money, to make super nice cars and started selling them to his friends in London. I still think they should be called Royces though🤷🏻♂️.
You gotta give a bit of credit to the salesman, though. It’s intelligent time preference management, and sophisticated persistence to persuade someone into believing anything could be worth spending such a fortune on, especially initially. It’s its own skill. One I don’t have.
