Yes because you will need to modify some things. And when the guberment finds out they will kill you. It has been done multiple times and the creators are dead and the patents hidden from the masses

It really depends on the age and type of engine.
Old mechanical injection really isn't fussy about what fuel you put through it.
Modern electronically controlled high pressure injection systems need much higher quality fuel.
Facts. A throttle body would get gunked up rather quickly. I wonder if there is a way to modify those? 🤔
I'm assuming we're talking about diesel engines, so there's no throttle body anyway.
Fuel is injected straight into the combustion chamber, so it's only the fuel system to really worry about.

HUEI fuel injection and high pressure common rail systems do NOT run well on anything besides clean diesel fuel. Also do not even consider running in a modern emissions system equipped diesel engine, it will shut down faster than you can add it to the tank.
Even on late 80s-90s systems with injection pumps are often not the most tolerant, and depending on the pump/injector combo will need regular maintenance. That means pump and injector teardown and cleaning. I know a few people that just have spares and swap them out and clean as needed.
I would also highly suggest nearly perfect filtration, and added pre-lift pump filtration, along with a 10micron or smaller pre-injection pump filter.
