I know I am only adopted British, but that insults me... Where are the mushy peas? And what is it with the small hits of fish????
They are bite-size for dunking. And sorry to say it, as someone who has had British fish & chips, mushy peas are disgusting. I mean, just look at this plate of trash.

Nothing wrong with peas that have been mashed. Still peas that are now easier to digest. That said, the mushy peas from some of these outlets do taste different to the peas I mash myself. And as for that particular dish - not impressive. It can be much better than that though.
