imagine if you wanted to get on twitter and you had to install another app, made by someone else, with different branding, just to use it. nostr:npub1jlrs53pkdfjnts29kveljul2sm0actt6n8dxrrzqcersttvcuv3qdjynqn #nostrasia

im going to keep saying this until it happens. technology works best when it fades into the background and the users don't even know what's happening nor are they aware of what technology they're using. they don't care about how the sausages are made. they just know that they're delicious.

fuckin love sausages.

💯 Nostr will work best when most people don’t even realize they’re using Nostr.

We'll get there eventually.

Damus custodial LN?

Agree in many ways, but a unique aspect of nostr, like bitcoin, is how users fundamentally must be aware of the technology.

Think of how the mantra of “not your keys (nsec) not your coins” requires the user to acknowledge and confront the technology and for that technology not to become obscured or unknown to the user.

Is it to much to ask the normies to hold their keys or should there be a more traditional log in for nostr? Don't get me wrong, I am a huge fan of the npub and spub protocol but nostr should be going for all audiences, not just the Bitcoiners..

They should hold their keys without knowing they're holding their keys, IMO.

I get that. Well said.

True words

Technology matters. We would all be on X or Instagram if we didn’t care about how the “sausage” was made.
