I like the fact that everyone replied to your GM but nobody replied to your legit and interesting question, to which I was hoping to find answers in the comments.
In general, if given the possibility/opportunity, I wouldn't want the government to know that I just had a child.
Not gonna lie, I was also expecting more actual answers on what would happen if we donβt return thisβ¦ my wife and I have been harassed by multiple phone calls from since we left the hospital a week ago urging us to fill and return the paperwork. Itβs kind of frightening.
idk about the US, here in Argentina your child wouldn't exist legally thus they wouldn't be able to go to any school, or gym, or play sports or get hospital attention, and if you get stopped by the police you wouldn't be able to probe it's your child.
I repeat I don't know how it works in the US.
Appreciate the input! I would assume something similar in the US
here in Argentina is not the hospital that gives the papers to the government when a child if born, but the parents.
And also the mother or both parents can go to any Government Registry to start the creation the a Birth certificate. There should be ways to start it even if you leaved the hospital without doing it
