I’m debugging UI perf by removing things, just realized this would actually be a pretty cool mode: low-data, text-only. Doesn’t even try to load pfps or images. 🤔

Yeah, low-data mode would be great while on a shitty connection or if you only have a small data-sim while traveling
Could add paging (not sure if right term) to notes/notes & replies tab, so that it loads latest X amount of events and you choose to load the next X amount. Same with new notes, would be a choice to load.
Not sure if this is doable/helpful in the quest for low data mode.

This would be awesome
I like this kind of feature in Amethyst and Gossip. No images and video means more signal from textual content. Now if I could just have an option to not even render notes that consist only of a media link or a lightning invoice the signal to noise ratio would elevate even higher.

I suggest to leave the media link visibile so the user can click and load the single image/video.
Would honestly love that for #Amethyst - especially when I am close to capping my mobile data but still want to see what the fellow nostriches are up to XD
