Has anyone created a NOSTR client for books and shared annotations, I'm imagining a shared library of Alexandria type of application?

There's one in the works and its called that... scroll the #Alexandria tag. Those notes could explain it better than myself & you should be able to find an alpha version to check it out

Awesome thank you I'm new to NOSTR and I'm really liking the concept

Hey welcome! It may sound a bit hyperbolic but nostr is in the early stages of reshaping the internet. Glad you chose to check it out. There's a lot of possibilities, which also means a lot of questions sometimes, so if you run into any, don't hesitate to ask. #asknostr is great for that too

Welcome to #nostr

Thank you!

Looks like the guy who is building #Alexandia is a data scientist out of INL who is much more concerned about data aggregation and processing than the preservation knowledge and interaction, the name is a bit misleading IMO

You can read my ideas about #Alexandria on Alexandria. 😁

Alexandria is meant for all types of publications, including books, research papers, essays, historical documents, technical documentation, picture books and children's books, recipe books, school textbooks, Bibles, etc. You can scroll the index cards on there and see examples of the various types. Just as the original Great Library didn't only store novels, but all human wisdom, we also do not only display novels. That would be a Sort-of-large library, rather than a Great one.

That said, you will soon be able to filter and search by type, so if you only want to see novels, that's okay, too.
