Free speech applies to adults. Adults don't need a nanny state to protect their fragile ears and eyes.
Kids are not simply pint sized adults and do need protection from stuff.

I really respect you for having kids and don’t envy the challenges here.
But I think you will have to teach them how to use the internet correctly and appropriately for their age. Or restrict their physical access to devices until a certain time.
Censorship is ultimately both impossible and immoral.
