Dear nostr:nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kyqpqtva8g98fx0fks0pt38vr75tv02t30qd5ev7n5v7fcpl6t44hf7kq5fm8mr , since a few updates I have the strange behavior of nostr:nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kyqpqqmlark5zym2u576hfmecfaa2els8eln4rxls76z24l3g7pq48rvqk92wc8 and it drains my battery. I have to charge 1-2 times a day, while it's off during night. I have a Pixel 6 and latest GOS stable.

Signal is main user with 18%, 2hr19min usage, 12hr35min background.

In comparison, nostr:nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kyqpque3newe9950rhx3efyfxrq8pv5m09n85y8ywc4vsc98gwyuzl7ysy08qq0 uses 9%, 8hr16min usage, 4d12hr19min background. 4x as much usage!

Is there something wrong with Google Services like push or something? As far as I know Threema uses it's own push service.

If you installed Signal before Play services, it will use their own push. If it's shown as an active app meaning running a foreground service, it's using their own push. It's quite possible the battery estimates became more accurate in Android 16.

I wish nostr:nprofile1qqsvnx99ww0sfall7gpv2jtz4ftc9v6wevgdd7g4hh7awkpfvwlezugpz4mhxue69uhk2er9dchxummnw3ezumrpdejqzrthwden5te0dehhxtnvdakq20hzsk would use a seperate push service and not their own (45% battery usage for me)
