If you dig into it , even slightly, it's about repurposing land.

The cow fart rhetoric is an means to an end.
*a
Of course and idiotic is an understatement. Yet.. some poor sucker is super proud of themselves for tackling this “super important problem” for tHe pLaNeT.
Throw shit at the wall until it sticks.

Looks like we ran out of time
They just shift the goal posts and reset the clock and act like nothing happened.
A broken clock is right twice a day.
How often is a broken hypothesis, held together by politically driven data models that are artificially protected from scrutiny by academic circle-jerking and cherry picked funding of studies, and a media that refuses to allow criticism of said broken hypothesis, correct?
Twice a day ?
Mate I’m way too tired to even read that let alone respond
It's rhetorical , no worries.
😂😂😂
To be clear , I believe in environmentalism, but it is undoubtedly being abused.
Responsible stewardship is the way. Government ran schemes begin flawed, cause damage, and end with blaming the landowner. No responsibility taken.
Same with anything else governments touch as well. Come up with a terrible idea that a majority of idiots think sounds good/feels good, milk the sentiment/resources dry, and walk away while pointing at others as the cause of the failure.
Rinse and repeat.
Fucking saving this note, such a succinct description of the low time preference, fiat , statist bullshit that we've been enduring for so long. Mhaith thú!
Entire nations will indeed be wiped off the face of the earth.. rising ignorance will be the cause though. 😂
Having read and listened to significant amounts of Alan Savory on grazing and soil regeneration.. the entire gambit of cow-as-a-problem arguments are frustrating.
It's an attack on land ownership. They are doing this shit in Ireland , reducing the herd size to save us from the climate boogeyman, and then importing lower grade beef from Brazil. Its a fucking land grab. Same with these "rewilding" programmes.
"Leave your land lying empty so that the bees can flourish, I definitely won't come by later and use the excuse that your land is lying empty to repurpose it somehow."
I’m currently staying with a farmer with 60ish head of cattle near Galway. We had this exact conversation last night. The government paid schemes truly are something special.
Irish farmers been sucking on the tit HARD for a long time, they wouldn't know where to begin getting weaned off it.
They are confused now, they don't understand that the government does not have their best interests at heart, and that this is a fight for their survival.
I've a lot of respect for farmers , I know enough of them , but like everything in this country, they've gone soft.
