Following a couple hundred people on #nostr is not a lot of people to follow. If your feed feels boring or slow then you are most likely not following enough people. Add at least a few hundred more people to your follow list. This ain't Twitter, and you're not that important. Your algorithms have no power here. Follow lots of people.

I need more, I took a hiatus for a bit but I'm back.
Especially as people churn in and out (inevitably on any platform) there is nothing spoon feeding you new people. You have to continue following and branching out to grow your garden.

Agreed and I know I’ve said this before but don’t be afraid to visit ppls’ feeds that you enjoy content from and see what they’ve noted lately, re-note it so others can enjoy it too and build their follow lists with awesome stuff! 💜
I pretty regularly seem to lose all or most of my follows and followers, so I regularly scroll through my favorite posters' followers looking for those I've lost. I also make a point to follow everyone who follows me.
Finding hundreds of quality people is harder than it seems my friend😉

You’ll never know unless you follow people. But it’s all about what you want to see. I just laugh when I see people complain about Nostr being slow and boring and then I check and they only follow a few people. They’re used to algorithms and suggested content feeding them what someone else wants them to see, rather than taking the time to curate their follows and lists. For someone who thinks Nostr is dead/slow/boring, they need to follow as many people as they can. The unfollow button exists to weed out those that end up being duds. Just a suggestion. To each their own.
